What is Meru Health?
It is a clinically proven therapy program that includes personalized care from a dedicated therapist via scheduled video sessions and unlimited in-app chat. The program also includes self-paced lessons and guided activities, a biofeedback device to help you connect mind and body, and support from an anonymous peer community.
How much time do I need for the program?
The program takes 12 weeks total, and typically, you only need to devote around 15 minutes to completing your daily practices. You can work through the program at your own pace – anytime, anywhere from your smartphone.
How much does the program cost?
As a Moda Health member, you get full access to the program (valued at $1,030) for a one-time copay. For people on high deductible plans, the cost is capped at $220.
What will I learn?
Over the course of 12 weeks, you will learn how to reduce worry, control the negative thoughts that impact your emotions, bounce back from adversity, improve your sleep quality and stress response, and create a life-long plan for better mental health.

How long does the Meru Health program last?
The program lasts for three months, but you will get a free lifetime access to the program content.
Over the course of three months (12-weeks), you will learn and practice the skills needed to create long-lasting healthy lifestyle habits- all with the support of your personal therapist.
How do I interact with my therapist?
You will have immediate access to the app to book a 30-45 min video intake assessment with a master or doctoral-level licensed therapist to identify your treatment goals and personalize your experience. They will provide meaningful, personalized responses when you feel lost, unmotivated, or need guidance.
You will also have the ability to communicate with your therapist through a secure text platform, discreetly, and without any pressure. You can send a message whenever and as frequently as you want.
If required, you can schedule additional sessions (up to 3 in total) with your therapist during the program.
Are Meru Health therapists licensed?
Our team consists of master or doctoral-level licensed therapists who have three years or more experience and have verified background checks.
Can I use Meru Health if I’m already seeing a therapist?
Yes! This program can be a great addition to existing care.
Our treatment outcomes show that 85% of Meru Health completers have signs of improvement or recovery, and 75% are no longer clinically anxious or depressed.
How does the anonymous group support feature work?
The support group gathers each week over a specific topic, encouraging you to share your experiences and learn from others.
You won’t be able to respond directly to other participants; however, your therapist will be there if you need additional support. You are not required to share information.
Will my information be private?
Privacy is a fundamental right and core value at Meru Health. Our HIPAA Compliant platform ensures your personal information is protected and encrypted at all times. We value your privacy and will not share any identifiable information with your employer or anyone else, giving you control over your private information.
If you would like your healthcare provider(s) to access your health records, electronic consent is required.
