Give your patients comprehensive and effective care

Refer your patients to the Meru Health online medical clinic for quick access to an effective and evidence-based treatment for depression and burnout.

How it Works

1. ACCESS THROUGH REFERRAL

The Meru Health program is accessed through a referral.  Over 80% of referred patients are qualified to start the treatment right away.

2. Consultation with Therapist

A phone consultation with the patient and a licensed Meru Health therapist takes place right after we receive the referral.

3. EIGHT week program with Daily therapist support

A guided educational program helps patients overcome depression, burnout and anxiety. Meru Health licensed therapists support patients proactively on weekdays.

4. LEARN HOW YOUR PATIENTS ARE DOING

As a provider, you receive information about your patient’s progress during the program, and a comprehensive outcome-report at the end of the treatment.

5. TREATMENT OUTCOMES

Treatment response and outcomes are measured bi-weekly during the program with validated clinical measures (PHQ-9 and GAD-7).

Science behind Meru Health

The Meru Health solution is based on three evidence-based elements: mindfulness-based interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral activation.(1,2,3,4)

Research conducted at Harvard Medical School and the University of Pittsburgh showed that practicing mindfulness meditation helps balance brain regions that are normally either deactivated or overly active in people who suffer from depression.

An 8-week mindfulness-based intervention was studied that used fMRI brain imaging to see possible physiological brain changes. The study showed that practicing mindfulness meditation for 8-weeks leads to significant positive brain changes  (1,2)

Meru Health is currently conducting clinical research with Finnish Student Health System
